Malcolm Frisbie was uncomfortable. He was used to casual living as a faculty member at Eastern. The businessmen that surrounded him at the trusteeship conference he was attending with the Board of Regents made him uneasy.

Eastern President Doug Whitlock was standing close by and asked Frisbie if he was enjoying himself, to which Frisbie replied, "not really.

University is censoring the Progress

For textbooks, it's the most eventful week of the semester. Thousands move from the hands of students to the hands of retailers-and then back into the students' hands again a few weeks later.

Police: Phone records place man at accident scene

Cell phone records put a Lexington man, who owned a truck police think was involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed a UK freshman, at the scene of the wreck, Lexington police said.

Shannon Houser, 36, told police he was at home at 2:30 a.m. on April 13, around the time of the accident that killed Connie Blount, 18, of Park City, Utah.

Tamme first of four Cats taken in draft; Giants pick Woodson in sixth round

Twenty-two hours and 126 picks. That's how long it took before senior tight end Jacob Tamme heard his name called as a fourth-round selection by the Indianapolis Colts during the second day of the NFL draft. In a crop of talented draft-eligible former UK players - including quarterback Andre Woodson, wide receiver Keenan Burton and linebacker Wesley Woodyard - it was Tamme who was the first to be taken in the draft with the 127th pick.
