Cheaper textbooks legislation proposed by state work groupIn-state tuition for veterans also proposed
Governor Steve Beshear's Higher Education Work Group has published its first report on improving college affordability, and it includes recommendations proposed by students for reducing textbook costs.
The Work Group made 17 recommendations in its 38-page report, including allowing veterans from any state to attend college in Kentucky at in-state rates, simplifying the application process for student aid, and better informing incoming students about college costs beyond tuition.…
