Off-campus financing a possibility for RSOs
As early as July 1, Eastern's qualifying registered student organizations (RSOs) may be able to maintain self-generated funding from membership fees, fundraising or private gifts with commercial banks in addition to their on-campus accounts.

Chandler earmarks $951,500 for new science equipment at EasternMoney will go toward equipment for new science building
Eastern will be receiving $951,500 from the Federal government for new science equipment, thanks to an earmark added by Rep. Ben Chandler.

Eastern plans to add new 2-year general studies degree
Eastern hopes to add a new degree to its catlogue that would only take two years to complete.
The Associate of General Studies program would become an option for students as early as the 2009-2010 school year.

Service organization works to replenish campus trees and flowers
Spring has sprung at Eastern. And Eastern service fraternity Alpha Phi Omega greeted the season with more than just happiness that the winter was over.
