Family reunions and the BCS

Also, teams from more competitive conferences such as the SEC are at a disadvantage to a conference like the Big Ten where the lower overall level of competition makes it easier for those teams to go undefeated during the regular season, which gives them an unfair advantage when the BCS (Bowl Championship Series) selects its title game participants.
After the seemingly endless regular season, the BCS uses a roomful of computers to decide which teams will play in their championship game. As one may expect, this has been about as effective as rehab has been for Scott Weiland. For instance, the combined scores for the last two BCS title games were 79-38. Close, huh?
In addition to the blowout title games, the FCS also leads to incessant banter from talking heads on the sports networks (I'm looking your way, Skip Bayless), and no one wants that. They are constantly debating on which team should have been in the title game and who really didn't deserve to be there.
Now, remember how the FCS decides who their champion is? They play a single-elimination tournament in which the last team standing takes home the trophy.
So, as a sports fan, the question you are left with is this: Would you rather attend the family reunion with crappy food and strange relatives or go to the reunion with close relatives where you can scratch yourself and drink with your grandma?
