March 3
  • A car in the Alumni Coliseum parking lot was reported damaged. Two holes were found in the rear window. Damage was estimated at $300.


March 4
  • A poppy flower arrangement valued at $50 was reported stolen from a desk in the Student Services Building.


  • A textbook valued at $99 was reported stolen from a Combs building bathroom after the owner left it outside the stall while she used the bathroom.


  • An Eastern employee received an anonymous e-mail from a person who threatened to kill her if not paid $33,000. Eastern police suspect it was a scam e-mail.


March 5
  • A Sullivan Hall resident reported his iPhone, valued at $750, had been stolen from the Fitness and Wellness Center while he worked out and that whoever stole it had compromised his Facebook account and posted obscene material on his friends' walls.


  • Brian McCready of Walnut Hill Drive was arrested near Todd and Dupree halls on a charge of marijuana possession after police received a complaint that someone was smoking marijuana in the smoke shack.


  • A cell phone valued at $380 was reported stolen from a classroom in Wallace while the owner left it unattended for 10 minutes.


March 6
  • A laptop valued at $1,300 was reported stolen from a room in Todd Hall.


  • Jacob Gridley of White Oak Trace in Lexington was arrested in Keene Hall on a charge of marijuana possession.


  • Kyle Sizemore of Dry Hill Road in Hyden was arrested in Keene Hall on a charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.


  • Two showerheads were reported stolen and graffiti was found on the shower stalls in a Commonwealth Hall bathroom. Damage was estimated at $15.


  • Several burn marks were found on the 14th-floor ceiling in Keene Hall. Damage was estimated at $150.


  • A license plate was reported stolen from a car parked in the Lancaster lot.


March 15
  • A Keene Hall resident reported his computer tower, valued at $500, had been stolen from the hallway while he was packing for spring break.


March 16
  • Eastern police received a report of an individual sitting in a truck in the Martin parking lot yelling obscenities through a megaphone. The driver of the truck said he had a public-address system in his truck and that his passenger used it while he was indoors using a restroom. The passenger admitted this but said he couldn't remember what he had shouted. When police mentioned the witness said it had to do with Kentucky and goats, the passenger admitted he had broadcast "Kentucky fucks goats" over the PA system. The passenger is not facing charges, as no police unit witnessed the behavior.


  • An iPod and a pair of headphones were reportedly stolen from a jacket at the Fitness and Wellness Center while the owner ran on a treadmill.


  • A Case Hall resident reported $130 of his medication had been stolen from his room.
