All information in the police beat is taken from Eastern police reports.

April 20
  • A female Eastern student reported someone had made minor scratches on her vehicle while it was parked in either the Kit Carson Drive parking lot or the Walters Hall parking lot. She also reported someone had put ranch dressing on her vehicle four times in the past three weeks, usually when it was in the Kit Carson lot. Damage was estimated at $150.

  • Eastern police observed a man riding unrestrained in the trunk of a vehicle on Kit Carson Drive. After stopping the vehicle, police saw six other passengers in the car not wearing seat belts. The driver, Davidson Beausejour of Algonquin Park in Louisville, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license and failure to wear a seat belt.

  • A Martin Hall resident reported someone had stolen the seat from his bicycle while it was in the Martin parking lot. According to the report, he didn't know of anyone who would have stolen it as a joke, but "he just wanted his seat back in the condition that it was taken."

  • A Dupree Hall resident reported someone had drawn a penis on his dorm-room door with a marker. Damage was estimated at $150.

April 21
  • Taylor Jennings of Todd Hall was arrested on a charge of theft by unlawful taking. Jennings was identified by Eastern police on April 16 as a suspect in the theft of textbooks from a Moore building office. Upon being interviewed on April 21, Jennings admitted to stealing the books and attempting to sell them back to UBS.

April 23
  • Eastern police observed Jordan Sharpe of Tipp City, Ohio, unsteady on his feet and causing a problem with security during a concert in Brock Auditorium. Upon contact with Sharpe, police noticed an odor of alcohol. After police asked Sharpe to return to his seat, he "immediately went into the aisle next to security and began to jump around playing 'air guitar,' disregarding security's attempt to seat him," according to the report. Sharpe was then arrested on a charge of public intoxication.

  • Ashley Chisholm of Nova Scotia, Canada, was arrested in Brock Auditorium on a charge of public intoxication.

April 26
  • Two female Commonwealth Hall residents reported someone had thrown beer bottles from a Commonwealth Hall window. They said some bottles hit the first-floor roof and one bottle landed on the sidewalk in front of them.

  • Eastern police responded to a fire alarm at the Begley building. Bradley Hyden of Kristin Drive was found sitting next to the fire alarm that had been pulled on the third floor. Hyden was unsteady, had slurred speech and said he didn't remember how he got in the building. Eastern police arrested him on a charge of public intoxication.
