Eastern's ladies' golf team played host to this year's OVC Championships at the Crooked Creek Golf Community, a par-72, 6,020-yard course in London, Ky.

After the first day, the Colonels were in sixth place out of eight teams. Eastern shot a collective 34 strokes over par in the first round. The Colonels were 10 shots off the leader, Murray State.

Day two had Eastern climbing the rankings to fourth. The Colonels were just one of two schools to match or better their first-round score. Another 322 put their two-round total at 644, 13 strokes behind Murray.

The third and final day was much like the first two for Murray, as it held the lead and won the championship with a three-round total of 952.

Eastern shot a 330 on the final day to finish in seventh place.

Gabrielle Andersson shot 237 for the tournament, 21 over par. Her performance was good enough for a fifth-place individual finish.

Linda Hogberg barely cracked the top 20 with a three-round total of 244 (+28).

At press time the men's team was in fifth place after two rounds of the Men's OVC Championship in Muscle Shoals, Ala.
