From the looks of this young Canadian vocalist, the last thing you would expect to come out of his mouth is his inexplicable singing voice. Not many people are aware of his success.
He earned his first Juno award for "Best New Talent" in 2004 for his debut album Michael Buble, which was released in Feb. 2003 and followed by his multi-platinum, It's Time, in 2005.
He sharpened his skills when he was young by performing in hotel lounges and smoky bars.
Buble brings a lot to the table with his warm, alluring voice, an entertaining personality and an indisputable taste in music.
His most recent album, Crazy Love, includes great hits by the The Eagles, Ray Charles, Van Morrison and many more. Michael Buble adds his own swing to these "Great American Songbook" classics, with renditions of "Heartache Tonight" by The Eagles and "Georgia on My Mind" by Ray Charles.
Opeing with his version of "Cry Me a River," originally written by Arthur Hamilton and recorded by Ella Fitzgerald, his new album is off to a good start.
While the majority of his music is similar to big band jazz, some songs feature the more modern sound of electric guitars.
Fans of 1980s music are sure to appreciate his version of "At This Moment" by Billy Vera and the Beaters.
Buble's new collection is sure to give his fans exactly what they want: classic, tasteful love songs.
Crazy Love also features artists such as the a cappella group Naturally 7, Canadian singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith and retro soul and blues group Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings. This Canadian crooner further proves himself to be a first rate vocalist.
While these renditions won't likely replace the originals, Buble does everyone a favor by continuing to bring "Great American Songbook" classics into the spotlight for younger generations.
